Product Engineering

After CL Plastics works with you to understand the product and delivery requirements, we begin the process of designing and developing the product and equipment. This entails preliminary product engineering, material specification, prototype development, and preliminary testing.

During the product engineering phase, CL Plastics addresses issues such as cost, produce-ability, quality, performance, reliability, and serviceability. Utilising current technologies, we implement rapid prototyping to create and test prototypes, generate cost estimates, and identify delivery schedules for your review and approval. We ensure the mechanical properties such as flexibility, rigidity, surface hardness, and finish meet customer expectations. We also understand that environmental requirements (for example: using recyclable content, flammability requirements, UV stabilization) and thermal properties (temperature resistance, deflection temperature, etc.) are also necessary.

Our goal during the product engineering phase is to deliver a representative prototype and accurate cost and delivery estimates based on your requirements to move to the next phase of implementation.
